New York, N.Y. & St. Louis, Mo. | April 10 & 25, 2019

To help prepare our employees for Volunteer Days of Service, Mastercard hosted training sessions for employees in their Purchase, N.Y., and O’Fallon, Mo., offices in April with EVERFI, our partner in providing innovative, digital financial education to schools.

On April 10 and April 25, Mastercard employees in both locations took part in their first out-of-office Volunteer Days of Service with EVERFI. The first school visit took place at the International High School for Health Sciences in the Queens neighborhood of New York, and the second was held at Marion Elementary School in Overland, Mo.

Both events were a resounding success and fun-filled for all. Master Your Card will be introducing more employee training sessions and Volunteer Days of Service in the coming months.

Our Partnership with EVERFI

Master Your Card (MYC) regularly partners with leading education technology company EVERFI to provide innovative, digital financial education to schools in underserved communities in New York and St. Louis.

Since launching in 2016, this program has reached more than 25,000 students with critical financial education on topics such as payment types, credit scores and financing higher education. In the spring of 2019 – building on this partnership and successful program – MYC introduced an employee volunteer initiative within Mastercard that gives employees opportunities to visit schools and engage with students who are taking the EVERFI online program.

Mastercard employees orchestrate fun financial trivia games that bring course concepts to life, and interact with the students through informal Q&A sessions focused on addressing their questions about money management, higher education and careers.
