Master Your Card, in partnership with EVERFI, the nation’s leading education technology company, presented a dynamic financial education event to more than 75 high school students. The interactive digital program Money Matters brought together students, educators and special guests at the Academy for Scholarship and Entrepreneurship in the Bronx to learn how to make smart financial decisions. By teaching students about money management and the power of electronic payment technology, this partnership is helping students lay the foundation for sound financial futures.
The Master Your Card School Program with EVERFI is part of a community initiative aimed at providing financial education to students at no cost to schools or taxpayers. The program features an interactive, new-media learning platform specifically designed to introduce financial literacy skills and build financial capacity necessary to transition into adulthood. Through this digital education course, students are immersed in real-life financial scenarios. The course allows students to move at their own pace, providing bite-sized instructional animations that make finance topics approachable and relatable. In addition to hearing from EVERFI and Master Your Card representatives, students also received advice from the school’s principal, Zenobia White, and World of Money’s founder and CEO Sabrina Lamb.
